What is zerogreen® Nano Impregnation?

First a brief overview: The zerogreen® Nano impregnation is an advanced product that protects a wide variety of surfaces from moisture, dirt and wear. Thanks to the innovative nanotechnology, it penetrates deep into the building material and forms an invisible, breathable protective film. The great thing about it: It is completely invisible and does not change the appearance of your surfaces!

The advantages at a glance

  • Long-term protection against moisture and dirt
  • Contributes to maintaining the value of your land
  • Preservation of the natural appearance of the surfaces
  • Easy to use for DIY enthusiasts
  • Environmentally friendly and solvent-free
  • Versatile use on different materials and surfaces

Required material

  • The calculated amount of zerogreen® Nano impregnation
  • A suitable container for mixing, such as a bucket or pressure sprayer.
  • A pressure sprayer, an (electric) sprayer, a watering can or similar to apply the solution.
  • Water for mixing.
  • Protective clothing and, if necessary, covering material and adhesive tape.

What you should consider before use

  • Ideally, you have already calculated your consumption and bought enough nano impregnation. If not, simply use our consumption calculator.
  • Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease. Ideally, you have already cleaned it with our green algae remover .
  • Cover sensitive adjacent components such as gutters, window sills or similar.
  • Check the weather forecast – it should remain dry for 24 hours after application and temperatures should be at least +5 degrees Celsius.
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing, such as gloves and safety glasses.

... and then you can get started!

Step-by-step instructions for use

Our nano impregnation is very easy to use, just follow the steps below.

Step 1: Prepare the surface (preparatory work)

Clean the surface thoroughly to remove green deposits, dust and debris. A clean surface is crucial for optimal results, otherwise the impregnation cannot (properly) penetrate the surface.

Step 2: Preparation of the impregnation mixture

Before you start applying the zerogreen® Nano impregnation, it is important to mix the concentrate properly. The impregnation comes as a concentrate that must be mixed with water in a ratio of 1:9 to create the finished solution. For 10 liters of finished mixture, you will therefore need 1 liter of the concentrate and 9 liters of water.

Follow these simple steps to prepare:

  1. Water First : Start by pouring the water into a suitable container first.
  2. Add concentrate : Then add the zerogreen® Nano impregnation concentrate.
  3. Stir : Stir the mixture gently to ensure that the concentrate and water are completely mixed.

After these steps, your waterproofing solution is ready for use.

    Step 3: Apply the impregnation

Apply the waterproofing agent evenly to the clean, dry surface in two wet-on-wet coats (very porous materials may require multiple applications). A pressure sprayer is ideal for application, but a roller, brush or flooding method (e.g. with a watering can) are also possible. Be careful not to create puddles to prevent staining.

Pro tip: For horizontal surfaces, you can use a paint roller to pick up and spread excess material to avoid puddles.

    Step 4: Allow drying time

Allow the impregnation to dry completely. The drying time depends on the weather, but we recommend allowing at least 24 hours. During this time, the surface should be protected from moisture. It is best to choose a dry day without precipitation for the impregnation.

Important: Also, be careful not to get the product into areas where animals live, such as fish ponds.

    Step 5: Admire the result

Once the impregnation has dried, you can be proud of your successful DIY project. Your surfaces are now well protected and thanks to the nano effect, water beads off impressively - a beautiful sight every time it comes into contact with moisture.

    Step 6: Aftercare

Regular functional tests help to ensure that your surfaces are protected. Check the impregnation from time to time by testing whether the surface absorbs moisture. If you notice that water is no longer beading off as effectively or the surface is starting to absorb moisture, it is time for a follow-up treatment. Before you reapply the impregnation, clean the surface thoroughly of dust and other deposits. This will ensure that the follow-up treatment is effective and that your surfaces continue to be optimally protected.
